LUKE IN THE GREENHOUSE (OCTOBER 2019) This was a fun shoot, though I had to adapt to constantly changing light and shadows. I got several nice shots that ended up as dividers and dominant photos in the yearbook. I also made an Instagram post exploring dynamic color and texture. |

WOMEN'S SOCCER REGIONAL SEMIFINAL WIN (JUNE 2019) I rode the bus with the team to and from the game. It was my first experience with sports photography, but I knew this was a major game and I wanted to get out of my comfort zone. I ended up getting a good workout switching lenses as I ran up and down the field. Full photostory here |
GLOBAL CLIMATE STRIKE (SEPTEMBER 2019) I ran up nine flights of stairs in the clock tower trying to capture the enormity of the strike, only to find the final door locked. Nevertheless, the photos I did take, which focused on students from our school, became a slideshow for our website and a divider in the yearbook. I also made a video following the journey of Huron students who walked out for Instagram. |
#MARCHFOROURLIVES WALKOUT (MARCH 2019) In the 21 degree-weather, my hands were numb and shaking. On top of that, I'd never used a professional camera on an assignment before. Luckily, by running back and forth from the bleachers to the field, I was able to capture the grandeur and excitement of the walkouts. My walkout reporting was also featured on Youth Radio.
